On 6 January 2026, the Spanish food retailer Mercadona announced an agreement to acquire Logifruit, a specialist in managing reusable transport packaging. This strategic merger integrates Logifruit’s its extensive network of 16 logistics platforms across Spain and Portugal directly into Mercadona’s corporate structure.
